Possible Causes
Worn tact switches on PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Cracked control fascia
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the panel has been splashed, allow it to dry completely. Do not use the unit if water is inside the electronics.
- Access keypad: Remove the screws holding the control fascia and gently pull it away to expose the button PCB.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the keypad and main board.
- Test switches (advanced): Using a multimeter, check continuity across each tact switch when pressed. Replace the PCB or individual switches if they fail.
If multiple buttons are unresponsive and reseating cables does not help, replacing the entire control PCB or keypad assembly is usually the most effective repair.
