Ice maker is very noisy during operation, with rattling, buzzing, or grinding sounds.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before tightening screws or touching moving parts.

• Level the unit: Use a spirit level to check the top surface. Adjust the feet or reposition the ice maker so it sits flat and stable.
• Check for loose panels: Gently press on side and top panels while the unit is running (briefly plug in for this test). If noise changes, tighten the corresponding screws after unplugging.
• Inspect condenser fan: Access the rear panel and check that the fan blades are not hitting wiring or plastic. Clean dust from the blades and ensure the fan spins freely by hand.
• Listen for pump noise: A loud grinding from the reservoir area may indicate a worn or cavitating pump. Ensure the reservoir is full and free of air bubbles. If noise persists, the pump may need replacement.

Persistent loud mechanical noise, especially grinding or scraping, should be investigated further to prevent component failure.
