Possible Causes

Faulty power/start button, Ice basket not seated correctly, Persistent 'ICE FULL' or 'ADD WATER' sensor state, Failed main control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening the control panel.

  • Check indicators: Ensure 'ADD WATER' and 'ICE FULL' lights are off. If lit, resolve those conditions first (fill water, empty basket, clean sensors).
  • Reseat basket: Remove and reinstall the ice basket so it sits properly on its guides and does not press against sensors.
  • Test buttons: Press the power/start button firmly several times. If it feels stuck or unresponsive, the switch may be worn.
  • Inspect control board (advanced): Remove the front or top panel to access the control PCB. Check for loose ribbon cables or connectors from the button panel.

If the unit still will not start a cycle and sensors are clear, the control PCB or keypad assembly may need replacement.
