Swan
Reduced Cooling Efficiency
Ice maker produces ice very slowly; it takes much longer than specified to fill the basket.

Possible Causes
Dirty condenser coil, Poor ventilation around unit, High ambient room temperature, Partial refrigerant loss or weak compressor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning the condenser or moving it.
- Improve airflow: Ensure at least 10–15 cm clearance on all sides and above the unit. Do not enclose it in a cabinet.
- Clean condenser: Use a vacuum and soft brush to remove dust from the condenser coil and fan area.
- Lower ambient temperature: Move the ice maker to a cooler room if possible. Most Swan ice makers are rated for operation up to around 32°C; above this, performance drops.
- Descale evaporator: Mineral buildup on the evaporator can insulate it. Run a descaling/cleaning cycle per the manual.
If ice production remains significantly below normal after these steps, the sealed refrigeration system may be partially failing and should be evaluated by a technician.
