Insufficient Water Flow to Evaporator
Ice maker produces very small, hollow, or misshapen ice cubes; cycles may be shorter than normal.

Possible Causes
Partially blocked water pump inlet, Kinked water delivery tube to evaporator, Low water level in reservoir, Scaled-up water distribution tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and drain the reservoir before disassembly.
- Check water level: Ensure the reservoir is filled to the MAX line with cool water.
- Clean pump inlet and filter: Remove the ice basket and access the reservoir. Take off the pump inlet screen and clean away any debris or scale.
- Inspect water distribution tray: At the top of the evaporator, locate the tray or manifold that distributes water over the freezing surface. Remove and clean it thoroughly, paying attention to small holes that can clog with mineral deposits.
- Check hoses: Verify that the hose from the pump to the tray is not kinked or partially blocked. Flush with water if needed.
- Descale system: Run a cleaning cycle (if available) using a manufacturer-approved descaler or a mild vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly.
After cleaning and descaling, ice size should return to normal. Persistent issues may indicate a weak water pump that needs replacement.
