Possible Causes
Loose display ribbon cable, Electrical noise on control lines, Failing display driver IC, Moisture on display PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before opening the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If condensation or spills are suspected, allow the unit to dry completely in a warm, dry room.
- Reseat cables: Remove the control fascia and reseat the ribbon cable between the display and main board.
- Power reset: Leave the unit unplugged for 10–15 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test.
If the display remains corrupted, the display PCB or main control board may need replacement, though the unit may still function for basic ice making.
