• Drain and clean: Empty the reservoir and wipe away any visible deposits.
• Descale: Fill with a vinegar solution (1:3 vinegar to water) and run a cleaning cycle if available. Let sit for 10–15 minutes, then drain and rinse thoroughly.
• Switch water source: Use filtered or softened water to reduce mineral buildup.
• Increase cleaning frequency: For hard water areas, clean the unit at least once a month.

Heavy scale buildup can eventually damage the pump and reduce ice quality, so regular descaling is important.
