Safety: Unplug the unit before inspection. Sealed system repairs involve refrigerant and must be done by a licensed technician.

• Check fan and compressor: Plug in and start a cycle. Listen for compressor and condenser fan operation. If both are off, troubleshoot the start device and control PCB.
• Feel compressor: Carefully touch the compressor shell after a few minutes. If it is cold and silent, it may not be starting. If very hot and humming, it may be locked.
• Inspect for oil stains: Look around tubing joints for oily residue, which can indicate a refrigerant leak.
• Technician service: If the compressor runs but the evaporator never gets cold, or if a leak is suspected, contact a refrigeration technician to check pressures, locate leaks, and recharge or replace components as needed.
