Possible Causes
Failed water circulation pump, Blocked pump inlet screen, Airlock in water line, Loose pump wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker and remove the water reservoir before servicing the pump.
Steps:
- 1. Check water level: Ensure the reservoir is filled to the proper level and seated correctly. Low water can trigger pump-related errors.
- 2. Listen for pump: When starting a cycle (briefly plug in and start), listen for a humming sound from the pump area. If silent, the pump may not be running.
- 3. Inspect pump inlet: Remove the reservoir and locate the pump intake screen or filter. Clean any debris or scale buildup with warm water and a soft brush.
- 4. Check for kinks/airlocks: Inspect the silicone water lines from the reservoir to the pump and from the pump to the evaporator tray. Straighten any kinks and ensure connections are tight.
- 5. Access and test pump: With power disconnected, remove the bottom or side panel to access the water circulation pump. Verify the wiring connector is secure. If you have a multimeter, check for proper voltage at the pump during a cycle (advanced).
- 6. Replace pump: If the pump receives power but does not run, or is noisy and weak, replace it with a compatible Vremi water circulation pump.
Note: After pump replacement, run a few cycles to purge air from the system.
