Possible Causes
Stuck water inlet valve, Clogged inlet screen, Faulty flow sensor (if equipped), Low household water pressure (for plumbed models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker and shut off the water supply (for plumbed-in Vremi models) before servicing.
Steps:
- 1. Verify water supply: Ensure the supply valve is fully open and the supply line is not kinked.
- 2. Clean inlet screen: Disconnect the water line at the back of the unit. Inspect and clean the small mesh screen inside the water inlet valve using a soft brush.
- 3. Check for leaks or drips: With water turned on briefly, look for continuous dripping from the valve outlet (with unit off). A valve that does not fully close can cause overfill.
- 4. Flow sensor (if present): Some Vremi models use a small flow meter in-line with the inlet. Inspect wiring and clean any debris from the sensor body.
- 5. Replace valve: If the valve is stuck open/closed or coil tests open with a multimeter, replace the Vremi water inlet valve assembly.
Warning: Always check for leaks after reassembling and turning the water back on.
