Possible Causes
Stalled harvest motor, Jammed ejector arm, Broken gear in harvest assembly, Faulty motor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker before reaching into the ice-making area or removing covers.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect for jams: Remove the ice basket and look for cubes wedged in the ejector or harvest mechanism. Clear any obstructions by hand.
- 2. Check ejector arm: Gently move the ejector arm or rake (if present). It should move with some resistance but not be locked solid.
- 3. Access harvest motor: Remove the top or side cover to expose the harvest motor assembly. Look for broken plastic gears or loose mounting screws.
- 4. Wiring check: Ensure the motor connector is secure and wires are not pinched.
- 5. Replace motor assembly: If the motor hums but does not turn, or is completely dead with proper voltage, replace the Vremi ice harvest motor assembly.
Note: Do not force the ejector arm with excessive pressure; this can strip gears.
