Possible Causes

Shorted component on control board, Shorted fan or pump motor, Damaged wiring harness, Internal power supply fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the ice maker immediately if you see E15, smell burning, or hear popping sounds. Do not continue to operate the unit.

Steps:

  • 1. Visual inspection: Remove the rear and top covers. Look for burnt wiring, melted connectors, or scorch marks on the main control board.
  • 2. Check motors: Inspect the water pump, condenser fan, and harvest motor for signs of overheating or melted plastic. Disconnect each motor one at a time and test if E15 persists (advanced).
  • 3. Harness check: Look for pinched or rubbed-through wires where the harness passes through metal openings. Repair with heat-shrink and reroute as needed.
  • 4. Replace failed parts: Any obviously shorted motor or burnt control board should be replaced with the correct Vremi replacement parts.

Warning: Because E15 often indicates an electrical short, if you are not experienced with electrical diagnostics, contact a professional technician.
