Possible Causes
Uneven countertop surface, Loose compressor mounting bolts, Fan shroud or panel vibrating, Ice maker not leveled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before tightening any screws or touching internal components.
Steps:
- 1. Level the unit: Use a bubble level and adjust the feet (if adjustable) or place shims under the corners until the ice maker is stable.
- 2. Check placement: Ensure the unit is not touching walls or other appliances that can amplify vibration.
- 3. Tighten hardware: Remove the rear cover and gently tighten compressor mounting bolts, fan shroud screws, and panel screws. Do not overtighten to avoid stripping.
- 4. Isolate vibration: Place a thin rubber mat under the ice maker to dampen noise.
Note: Some humming and vibration are normal, but loud rattling usually indicates something loose.
