How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before further inspection.
Steps:
- 1. Improve airflow: Move the ice maker to a well-ventilated area with adequate clearance on all sides.
- 2. Clean vents and condenser: Remove dust from all air inlets and outlets and clean the condenser coils.
- 3. Check fan operation: Ensure the condenser fan motor runs whenever the compressor is on. Replace if not.
- 4. Thermal device: If the compressor shuts off prematurely and the overload protector is tripping, a technician should evaluate the compressor and overload device.
