Visible mold, slime, or discoloration inside the water reservoir or ice bin.

Safety: Unplug the unit. Wear gloves if mold is extensive.

Steps:

• 1. Disassemble for cleaning: Remove the water reservoir, ice basket, and any removable internal parts.
• 2. Wash components: Clean with hot, soapy water and a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly.
• 3. Sanitize: Soak parts in a solution of 1 tablespoon of unscented household bleach per gallon of water for 5 minutes, then rinse well. Alternatively, use a commercial ice machine sanitizer compatible with Vremi units.
• 4. Clean interior surfaces: Wipe the interior of the ice maker with the same sanitizing solution, avoiding direct contact with electrical components.
• 5. Dry completely: Allow all parts to air dry before reassembly.

Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the unit at least once a month, or more often in warm, humid environments.
