“Add Water” light or code stays on, ice maker will not start cycle

Steps to clear Add Water:

• Check reservoir: Ensure the water reservoir or tank is properly seated and filled to the correct level.
• Inspect for kinks: If your model has a removable water bottle or tank, make sure no airlock or kink is preventing water from entering the reservoir.
• Clean float/sensor: Remove the ice basket, locate the float or sensor, and clean off any scale or slime with warm water and vinegar.
• Verify sensor movement: Move the float manually; the Add Water light should change state if the sensor is working (on some models you must power cycle to see the change).
• Replace sensor: If the Add Water indicator remains on with a full reservoir and a free-moving float, replace the water level sensor assembly.
