Water Supply / Level Detection Issue
“Add Water” light or code stays on, ice maker will not start cycle

Possible Causes
Reservoir not fully seated, Low water level, Faulty water level sensor, Mineral buildup on float
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: For basic checks, you may leave the unit plugged in but avoid spilling water into electrical areas. Unplug before removing panels.
Steps to clear Add Water:
- Check reservoir: Ensure the water reservoir or tank is properly seated and filled to the correct level.
- Inspect for kinks: If your model has a removable water bottle or tank, make sure no airlock or kink is preventing water from entering the reservoir.
- Clean float/sensor: Remove the ice basket, locate the float or sensor, and clean off any scale or slime with warm water and vinegar.
- Verify sensor movement: Move the float manually; the Add Water light should change state if the sensor is working (on some models you must power cycle to see the change).
- Replace sensor: If the Add Water indicator remains on with a full reservoir and a free-moving float, replace the water level sensor assembly.
