HI or FULL indicator stays on even when ice bin is empty, unit will not make ice

Safety: Unplug the ice maker before working inside the bin area.

Steps to fix HI:

• Empty bin: Remove all ice and ensure the bin is properly seated.
• Clean sensors: If your model uses IR sensors, clean both the emitter and receiver lenses with a soft cloth. Remove any frost or condensation.
• Check mechanical arm: For models with an ice-full arm, ensure it is not stuck in the raised position. Move it gently to confirm free movement.
• Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the control board and reseat connectors.
• Test operation: Restore power and observe whether the HI indicator clears with an empty bin.
• Replace sensor: If the indicator remains on and wiring is intact, replace the ice bin full sensor assembly or arm switch.
