Microwave interior light does not turn on when cooking, but unit heats normally.

Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the light bulb. Avoid touching high-voltage components.

• Locate light bulb:
  • On many Black+Decker models, the bulb is behind a small panel on the side or top of the cavity, accessible from inside or from the rear.
• Replace bulb:
  • Remove the cover and unscrew the bulb.
  • Install a replacement bulb of the same type and wattage specified by Black+Decker.

If a new bulb does not light, the socket or control board light circuit may be faulty and require professional service.
