Microwave light and fan run, but the turntable rotates intermittently or jerks.

Safety first: Unplug the microwave before cleaning under the tray.

• Clean thoroughly:
  • Remove the glass tray and roller ring.
  • Clean the cavity floor and the groove where the roller ring sits.
• Inspect roller ring:
  • Replace if wheels are flat-spotted or broken.
• Check coupler fit:
  • Ensure the tray properly engages the coupler.

If the turntable still jerks, the motor may be weak and should be replaced.
