Possible Causes
Corrupted control board firmware, Damaged control PCB from power surge, Faulty low-voltage power supply on PCB, Loose connectors on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before opening the cabinet.
- Hard reset: Unplug the microwave for at least 10 minutes. This can clear transient logic errors. Plug back in and check if E06 clears.
- Inspect control board connections: Remove the outer cover and control panel. Check all harness connectors to the main PCB for secure fit. Look for signs of burning, corrosion, or cracked solder joints.
- Check for surge damage: If there was a recent power surge, inspect the PCB for blown tracks, burnt components, or a damaged varistor/fuse on the board.
- Replace control PCB: If E06 persists and no obvious loose connection is found, the control board is likely faulty. Replace with the correct Bush control PCB for your model.
Because the control PCB also manages safety interlocks, ensure correct wiring and mounting. If unsure, use a professional technician.
