Possible Causes

Faulty weight sensor under cavity, Loose or damaged weight sensor wiring, Misaligned or jammed turntable support affecting sensor, Faulty control PCB sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before removing panels.

  • Check turntable and support: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean any debris that might be jamming the turntable or pressing unevenly on the base.
  • Inspect weight sensor: On models with a weight sensor, it is typically mounted under the cavity floor. Access from the bottom of the unit. Check for physical damage or corrosion.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the harness from the weight sensor to the control PCB is intact and connectors are firmly seated.
  • Calibration: Some Bush models allow sensor recalibration via a service mode. Refer to service documentation; this is usually for technicians.
  • Replace sensor if faulty: If the sensor shows open circuit or erratic readings, replace it with the correct Bush weight sensor part.
