Possible Causes
Contaminated humidity sensor, Failed humidity sensor, Blocked sensor vent, Loose sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing internal components.
- Clean cavity and sensor area: The humidity sensor is often located behind a small grill or vent inside the cavity ceiling or side wall. Clean the area with a mild detergent to remove grease and residue.
- Check sensor vent: Ensure any small holes or vents leading to the sensor are not blocked by food splatter.
- Inspect wiring: Access the sensor from the top or side (depending on model). Check the harness and connector to the control PCB.
- Replace sensor: If cleaning and wiring checks do not resolve E13, replace the humidity sensor with the correct Bush part.
