Possible Causes

Blown cavity lamp, Loose lamp holder connection, Faulty lamp relay or triac on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave. Lamps are often near live wiring.

  • Access lamp: On many Bush models, the lamp is accessible by removing the outer cover or a small panel.
  • Check bulb: Inspect the filament (if incandescent) or test continuity with a multimeter. Replace with the correct type and wattage specified for your model.
  • Check holder and wiring: Ensure the lamp holder is not burnt and that wires are secure.

If a new lamp does not work, the control PCB’s lamp drive circuit may be faulty and require professional repair.
