Possible Causes
Recent power outage or interruption, Loose power cord connection, Tripped household breaker, Faulty outlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure your hands are dry when handling plugs or outlets.
- Reset the clock: Press CLEAR/STOP, then set the clock per the user manual. PF is usually informational only.
- Check power source: Confirm the outlet is working by plugging in another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or GFCI outlets.
- Inspect power cord: Make sure the Oster microwave’s power cord is fully inserted and not damaged.
- If PF recurs frequently without outages: Have an electrician check the outlet and circuit. Persistent issues may also indicate an internal control board power-supply problem.
