Possible Causes
Failed humidity sensor, Contaminated sensor surface with grease or steam residue, Loose sensor connector, Faulty control board sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before cleaning around the sensor area.
- Locate sensor: On many Princess microwaves with auto-cook functions, the humidity sensor is a small grill or opening on the top or side of the cavity interior.
- Clean sensor area: Wipe the area gently with a soft cloth dampened with mild dish soap solution. Do not saturate or spray directly into the opening. Dry thoroughly.
- Reset: Plug the unit back in and clear the error by pressing STOP/CANCEL, then test an auto-cook program.
- If E06 persists: The humidity sensor or control board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician using the correct Princess sensor part.
