Possible Causes
Faulty low-voltage power supply on control PCB, Loose mains input connector, Blown internal line fuse, Defective door filter board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave. Internal fuses and filter boards are connected directly to mains voltage.
- Step 1 – Check mains outlet: Verify the wall socket voltage is stable and within specification using another appliance.
- Step 2 – Inspect line cord and plug: Look for damage, burns, or loose pins. Replace the cord set if any defects are found.
- Step 3 – Check internal fuse: Remove the cabinet and locate the main ceramic fuse near the mains input or filter board. Test with a multimeter. If blown, investigate for short circuits before replacing with the exact same rating.
- Step 4 – Inspect filter / noise suppression board: Check for burnt components or cracked solder joints. Replace the filter board if visibly damaged.
- Step 5 – Control PCB power supply: If fuses and filter are good, the low-voltage section on the control PCB (transformer or SMPS) may be faulty. This typically requires PCB replacement by a technician.
