- Step 1 – Inspect door switches: Remove the cabinet and locate the three door switches (primary, secondary, monitor). Ensure they are firmly mounted and actuated in the correct sequence when the door opens/closes.
- Step 2 – Check wiring order: Verify that wires are connected to the correct terminals as per the wiring diagram (often printed on the cabinet). Miswiring can trigger E17.
- Step 3 – Test monitor switch: With a multimeter, confirm that the monitor switch is closed when the door is open and open when the door is closed (opposite of the primary switch). Replace if it does not operate correctly.
- Step 4 – Replace damaged bracket: If the switch mounting bracket is bent or cracked, replace it to ensure proper alignment.
