How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before handling internal parts.
- Step 1 – Remove and inspect tray: Take out the glass tray and roller ring. Clean both thoroughly and remove any food debris from the cavity floor.
- Step 2 – Check roller ring: Inspect the wheels for flat spots or cracks. Replace the roller ring if damaged.
- Step 3 – Inspect coupler: Check the plastic coupler that fits on the motor shaft for cracks or wear. Replace if loose or damaged.
- Step 4 – Test motor: With the tray removed, run the microwave briefly (with a cup of water) and listen to the motor. If it grinds or squeals, replace the turntable motor.
