Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Stripped turntable coupler, Broken motor shaft, Disconnected motor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside.
- Step 1 – Check for obstruction: Ensure the glass tray is correctly seated on the coupler and roller ring, and that nothing is blocking rotation.
- Step 2 – Test without load: Remove the tray and roller ring. Run the microwave briefly (with water) and observe if the coupler turns. If not, proceed.
- Step 3 – Access motor: Remove the bottom cover or outer cabinet to reach the motor. Inspect wiring and connectors.
- Step 4 – Replace motor or coupler: If the motor is open-circuit or the shaft is broken, replace the turntable motor. If the coupler is stripped, replace it with a Severin-compatible coupler.
