Possible Causes
Low or fluctuating line voltage, Loose power cord connection inside microwave, Damaged power cord, Power surge affecting control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before inspecting the cord or internal connections.
Steps:
- 1. Outlet test: Plug another appliance (like a lamp) into the same outlet to confirm stable power. Avoid using extension cords or power strips.
- 2. Dedicated circuit: If possible, connect the microwave to a dedicated 15A or 20A circuit as recommended by Vida.
- 3. Inspect power cord: Check for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. If damaged, discontinue use.
- 4. Internal cord connection (for DIYers): Remove the outer cover (after unplugging) and verify that the cord strain relief and internal terminal connections are tight and not discolored.
If E11 persists with a known-good outlet and intact cord, the control board may have been damaged by a surge and should be replaced by a technician.
