Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken turntable coupler, Misaligned or dirty roller ring, Stripped motor shaft
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside.
Steps:
- 1. Clean and reseat: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean them and the cavity floor. Reseat the roller ring and tray.
- 2. Check coupler: Inspect the plastic coupler for cracks. Ensure it engages the tray properly.
- 3. Motor test: With the tray removed, run a short cycle and see if the coupler turns. If not, the motor or its wiring is likely faulty.
Replacing the turntable motor is usually straightforward on Vida countertop models: remove the bottom panel, disconnect the motor, and install a new one of the same rating.
