How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool fully before inspection.
- Dry the unit: If the cooker was recently washed or exposed to steam around the base, leave it unplugged in a dry, ventilated area for 24 hours to allow moisture to evaporate, then test again.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the bottom cover. Check the NTC sensor cable from the heating plate to the PCB for melted or crushed insulation. Separate any wires that are touching bare metal.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion at the sensor connector. Clean lightly with contact cleaner and a soft brush, then reconnect firmly.
- Measure resistance (for technicians): With a multimeter, measure the NTC resistance at room temperature. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor that must be replaced.
- Replace components: If the sensor is shorted, install a new Binatone‑compatible bottom NTC sensor assembly. If the sensor tests normal but E2 persists, the main control PCB NTC input circuit may be shorted and the PCB should be replaced.
