Possible Causes
Food residue trapped under sealing ring, Contaminated steam release valve, Stained inner pot coating, Mold in condensation collector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before deep cleaning.
- Deep clean lid: Remove the sealing ring, inner lid plate, and steam release components. Wash all removable parts in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Clean condensation collector: Remove and wash the condensation cup and surrounding area to eliminate mold or stale water.
- Deodorize inner pot: Boil a mixture of water and a few tablespoons of white vinegar in the cooker on a non‑pressure program for 10–15 minutes, then rinse.
- Replace porous parts: If odors persist, replace the silicone sealing ring and, if necessary, the inner pot.
