Possible Causes

Faulty lid NTC sensor, Loose lid sensor wiring in the hinge area, Damaged flexible cable between lid and main body, Faulty main control PCB lid sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and completely depressurized before working on the lid.

  • Visual lid check: Inspect the lid for cracks, deformation, or signs of overheating near the steam outlet and sensor area.
  • Clean lid interior: Remove the inner lid (if removable) and clean any food residue around the steam outlet and sensor housing. Dry thoroughly.
  • Check lid cable: On many Eldom multicookers, a flexible cable runs through the hinge. Gently move the lid open/close and look for any pinched or broken wires.
  • Access lid sensor (if serviceable): Remove the screws holding the inner lid panel to expose the lid NTC sensor. Check that it is firmly attached and its connector is secure.
  • Continuity test (advanced): With the unit unplugged, test continuity of the lid sensor wiring from the lid to the main PCB. Repair or replace any broken harness.

If the wiring is intact but E3 remains, the lid NTC sensor or main control PCB will likely need replacement.
