Possible Causes
Defective pressure sensor, Blocked pressure sensor tube or channel, Loose pressure sensor connector on PCB, Faulty main control PCB pressure circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the cooker to fully depressurize and cool before disassembly. Never open the lid under pressure.
- Clean steam path: Remove the steam release valve and anti-block shield (if present). Clean all holes and channels with a brush and warm soapy water. Ensure they are not clogged with starch or food.
- Check silicone tubes: Some Eldom models use a small silicone tube from the lid to a pressure sensor. Inspect for kinks, blockages, or cracks. Replace if hardened or damaged.
- Inspect pressure sensor: Remove the top or side cover (depending on model) to access the pressure sensor mounted on the main PCB or nearby bracket. Ensure its connector is firmly seated.
- Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation around the sensor, dry the area thoroughly and leave the unit open (unplugged) for several hours.
If E4 persists after cleaning and checking connections, the pressure sensor module or main control PCB should be replaced.
