Possible Causes

Lid not fully closed or misaligned, Faulty lid lock microswitch, Broken lid lock mechanism, Damaged wiring from lid lock to main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Never force the lid closed with excessive pressure. Unplug the cooker before mechanical inspection.

  • Check lid closure: Open and close the lid several times, ensuring it aligns with the body and the handle fully engages the lock. Remove any food debris around the locking lugs.
  • Inspect lock pin: Look at the metal or plastic locking pin that engages when the lid is closed. Make sure it moves freely and is not bent or obstructed.
  • Test microswitch (basic): With the cooker unplugged, close the lid and listen/feel for a faint click from the lock area, indicating the microswitch is actuated.
  • Access lock assembly (advanced): Remove the top cover or inner lid trim to expose the lock mechanism and microswitch. Check for broken plastic parts or a misaligned switch. Reseat the switch connector.

If the lock mechanism is damaged or the microswitch fails continuity testing, replace the lid lock assembly. If wiring is intact and the switch is good, the main control PCB input may be defective.
