Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the cooker to fully depressurize before removing any parts. Keep face and hands away from the steam outlet.
- Clean steam release valve: Remove the valve cap and wash it thoroughly. Use a thin brush or toothpick to clear any blocked holes.
- Clean anti-block shield: Remove the inner shield over the steam outlet (if fitted). Clean off starch, foam, or food particles and rinse well.
- Inspect safety valve: Check the silicone or metal safety valve in the lid. It should move freely and not be stuck in the closed position. Replace if hardened or deformed.
- Check fill level: Ensure you are not overfilling the inner pot and that you follow Eldom's maximum fill lines, especially for foaming foods like beans or porridge.
If E8 continues after cleaning and correct usage, the pressure sensor or main control PCB may be misreading pressure and should be tested and replaced by a qualified technician.
