Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker before opening the control panel area.
- Check for child lock: Refer to the Eldom manual; some models require holding a specific button combination to unlock the panel.
- Try multiple programs: Attempt to start different modes to rule out a single-program issue.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front/top cover to access the control panel. Reseat the flat ribbon cable connecting the panel to the main PCB.
- Button test (advanced): For membrane or tact-switch panels, use a multimeter to verify that the START button closes the circuit when pressed.
If the START button or panel is defective, replace the complete control panel assembly. If the panel is good but commands are not recognized, the main control PCB may be faulty.
