Possible Causes

Open or shorted lid NTC sensor, Broken lid sensor wiring in hinge area, Loose connector on lid sensor harness, Moisture damage in lid

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool. Do not open the lid if under pressure.

  • Check for condensation: Open the lid (when safe) and inspect the inner lid area for heavy condensation or water ingress. Wipe dry.
  • Inspect hinge wiring: Many Electrolux multicookers route lid sensor wires through the hinge. Look for pinched or broken insulation where the lid opens and closes.
  • Gently move lid: With the unit unplugged, open and close the lid while observing the sensor cable. If it tugs or twists excessively, it may have internal breaks.
  • Internal access (advanced): Remove the top cover to access the lid sensor connector. Reseat the connector on the main PCB and on the lid sensor itself.
  • If E13 persists, replace the lid temperature sensor assembly or the entire lid module, depending on model design.
