E14 error appears when starting or during a steam or sauté program; cooker may not heat properly.

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the cooker. Allow it to cool before cleaning.

• Check cooking method: Ensure you always use sufficient oil or liquid when using high-heat modes like sauté or fry. Avoid preheating empty.
• Clean heater and pot bottom: Remove the inner pot and clean any burnt food from the bottom of the pot and the heater plate. Use non-abrasive cleaners.
• Inspect pot flatness: A warped pot can cause hot spots. Replace the pot if it does not sit flat.
• Ventilation: Ensure vents are not blocked and the cooker has adequate airflow.
• If E14 recurs under normal use, the high-limit thermostat or related protection circuit may be overly sensitive or failing and should be checked by a technician.
