Possible Causes
Blocked pressure sensor port, Defective pressure sensor, Loose pressure sensor connector, Damaged pressure hose or channel in lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is completely depressurized and cool. Unplug before inspection.
- Clean the steam release and float valve: Remove the steam release cap and float valve (if removable). Clean all parts with warm soapy water, ensuring the small pressure channels are not clogged with starch or food.
- Inspect the pressure sensor port: On many Electrolux multicookers, the pressure sensor is connected via a small channel from the lid or inner top plate. Check for blockages and clean gently with a soft brush or toothpick (do not enlarge holes).
- Check silicone seals: Inspect the silicone ring around the float valve and any small gaskets near the pressure channel. Replace if cracked or deformed.
- Internal check (advanced): Remove the top cover to access the pressure sensor module. Verify that the sensor connector is firmly attached to the control board and that the small silicone hose (if used) is not kinked or split.
- If cleaning and reseating do not clear E4, the pressure sensor module is likely defective and should be replaced with an Electrolux-specified part.
