Possible Causes
Incorrect or non-original inner pot, Dirty or warped bottom of inner pot, Faulty weight/pressure sensor under heater plate, Loose sensor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before internal checks.
- Use original pot: Ensure you are using the original Electrolux inner pot or a compatible replacement with the correct thickness and flat bottom.
- Clean contact surfaces: Remove the pot and clean the bottom of the pot and the heater plate with a soft cloth. Remove any burnt-on residue that may prevent proper contact.
- Check for warping: Place the pot on a flat surface to see if it rocks. A warped pot may not sit correctly on the sensor and should be replaced.
- Re-seat pot firmly: Place the pot back in, rotate it slightly to ensure full contact, then close the lid and try again.
- Internal sensor check (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and locate the weight or pot-detection sensor (often a small load cell or microswitch under the heater plate). Ensure its wiring is intact and the mounting screws are tight.
- If E7 persists with a correct pot and clean surfaces, the pot detection sensor or associated circuitry may be defective and require replacement.
