Safety first: Allow the cooker to cool and depressurize fully before opening the lid.

• Check steam release position: Ensure the steam release knob is set to the 'Seal' or pressure position as indicated in the Electrolux manual.
• Inspect sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the lid. Check for cracks, hardening, or deformation. Clean it with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Replace if worn.
• Clean lid components: Remove the inner lid plate (if applicable) and clean all surfaces, including the groove where the sealing ring sits.
• Check float valve: Make sure the float valve moves freely up and down. Clean any food residue and inspect the small silicone cap for damage.
• Reassemble carefully: Refit the sealing ring evenly around the lid, ensuring it is not twisted. Reinstall the inner lid plate and valves correctly.
• If E8 continues despite a good seal and correct operation, the pressure sensor or control logic may be misreading pressure and should be checked by a technician.
