Stuck Float Valve / Residual Pressure
Lid will not open after cooking; float valve appears stuck in the up position even after cooling.

Possible Causes
Food residue around float valve, Bent float pin, Excess internal pressure due to clogged steam release, Deformed float valve gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never force the lid open. Ensure the cooker is unplugged and allow extra time for cooling.
- Check pressure indicator: Wait until the float valve drops fully. If it remains up after 30–60 minutes, proceed carefully.
- Gently tap lid: Using a wooden spoon, gently tap around the float valve to free any stuck residue.
- Use a long tool: If the design allows, gently nudge the float valve from the top with a non-metal tool to see if it drops. Do not pry the lid.
- Once open, disassemble and thoroughly clean the float valve, its channel, and gasket.
- If the float frequently sticks, replace the float valve assembly and gasket.
