Possible Causes
Lid not detected as closed, Faulty start button on keypad, Child lock function enabled, Defective lid lock switch wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before internal checks.
- Check display for lock icon: Some Electrolux models have a child lock. Disable it by holding the designated key combination (see user manual).
- Verify lid closure: Close the lid firmly until you hear a click. Ensure nothing obstructs the gasket or latch.
- Test other buttons: If some keys do not respond, the keypad membrane may be failing.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then retry.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Check the lid lock switch wiring and connector to the main PCB. Reseat connectors and look for broken wires.
- If the Start button still does not initiate cooking, the control panel keypad or main PCB may need replacement.
