E5 error code appears and the cooker will not build pressure or complete the cycle.

Possible Causes
Damaged or dirty silicone lid gasket, Steam leaking from lid or float valve, Steam release valve not set to Seal, Failed pressure sensor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool. Avoid touching hot steam areas.
- Check lid gasket: Remove the silicone lid gasket from the inner lid. Inspect for cracks, warping, or food buildup. Wash thoroughly and reinstall, ensuring it is fully seated in the groove.
- Verify valve position: Ensure the steam release valve is in the Seal position (not Vent) when starting a pressure program.
- Inspect for steam leaks: During a test run with water, watch for continuous steam escaping around the lid, from the float valve, or from the release valve. Persistent leaking indicates a bad gasket or valve seal.
- Clean float valve and cap: Remove the float valve and silicone cap (if removable). Clean both and reinstall. A stuck float can prevent proper pressure buildup.
- Advanced: If the cooker heats but never reaches pressure and E5 appears even with a new gasket and clean valves, the pressure sensor may be out of calibration and require replacement.
