Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid, Steam release valve left in Vent position, Damaged lid gasket, Leaking float valve seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid placing hands near the steam release while the unit is hot.
- Check liquid level: Open the lid (after pressure is released) and ensure you have at least the minimum liquid specified in the manual.
- Set valve to Seal: Confirm the steam release valve is turned to the Seal position before starting a pressure program.
- Inspect gasket and float valve: Remove, clean, and reinstall the silicone lid gasket and float valve. Replace if cracked or deformed.
- Test with water: Run a short pressure cycle with only water. If noP still appears, the pressure sensor or lid sealing surface may be defective.
