Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid, Food residue around float valve, Swollen or damaged float valve silicone cap, Misaligned lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid touching the float valve while the cooker is hot or under pressure.
- Check liquid level: Ensure you have at least the minimum required liquid in the inner pot.
- Clean float valve: After cooling and depressurizing, remove the float valve and its silicone cap. Clean both with warm soapy water and a small brush.
- Inspect silicone cap: Replace the cap if it is swollen, cracked, or hardened.
- Reinstall correctly: Make sure the float valve moves freely up and down when reinstalled.
If the float still fails to rise with adequate liquid and steam production, the lid or pressure sensor may be at fault.
