Possible Causes
Residual pressure not fully released, Sticky gasket, Misaligned lid locking mechanism, Food residue on lid locking pin
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never force the lid open if you suspect pressure remains inside. Check that the float valve has dropped.
- Verify pressure release: Ensure the float valve is fully down and no steam escapes when gently nudging the release valve.
- Wait longer: Allow an additional 10–15 minutes for residual pressure to dissipate.
- Clean gasket and lock: Once open, clean the silicone gasket and lid locking pin area to remove sticky residue.
- Lubricate lightly: Wipe the gasket with a very thin film of cooking oil to reduce sticking (if allowed by the manual).
