Possible Causes
Stuck Start button, Moisture under control panel, Faulty touch keypad membrane, Loose ribbon cable to control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before cleaning the control panel.
- Clean control panel: Wipe the panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove grease or residue. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Dry thoroughly: If the panel was recently exposed to steam or liquid, allow it to air-dry for several hours.
- Button test: Plug in and test other buttons. If multiple buttons fail, the keypad membrane or ribbon cable may be faulty.
- Advanced: Remove the outer housing to access the control panel ribbon cable. Reseat the connector on the main board.
If the Start button remains unresponsive, replacing the control panel assembly is usually required.
